Affiliations and Fellowships Related to Central Asian Studies

Those seeking to become involved in
Central Asian studies at Harvard may pursue this through a number
of centers, academic departments and other programs. One can
be affiliated with many different programs, and all at Harvard are
encouraged to be involved in the activities of the Program on Central
Asia and the Caucasus. If you need funding to support an affiliation
with the Program on Central Asia and the Caucasus, you may be eligible
for one of the key fellowship programs which have supported scholars
at the Program in the past, including: the Social
Science Research Council (SSRC), International
Research and Exchanges Board (IREX), ACTR/ACCELS,
Fulbright Scholars
Program, and various programs of the Open
Society Institute (especially, the Central
Asian Reseach and Training Initiative [CARTI] and the Faculty
Development Program [FDP]). If you are interested in being
based at the Program on Central Asia and the Caucasus while holding
one of these fellowships, please contact the Program in addition
to applying to the relevant fellowship program.
